A tall Victorian barley-twist plant stand on a three-footed base, likely mahogany. The turned, spiral column and carved base are typical of late 19th-century decorative pedestals and make a useful display stand for plants or a small sculpture. Dimensions Width: 49 cm Depth: 49 cm Height: 126 cm Condition Structurally the stand is stable but there is noticeable movement in the feet which may need tightening or minor adjustment. The finish shows marks, scratches and scuffs throughout, with areas of loss and rubbing to the top edging and edges of the base visible in the photos. There is a slight misalignment on the top moulding. These issues are consistent with a Victorian piece that has been used and moved over time; no major breaks or previous poor repairs are apparent.
