Remember when you would go to summer camp, make amazing new friends, and craft friendship bracelets to remember those memories forever? Now you can have the same experience at Makeshift Crafts! This is a beginner-friendly workshop only for members of the Makeshit Craft Club! We will learn the classic art of thread friendship bracelets using colorful embroidery floss and traditional knotting techniques that have been passed from playgrounds to sleepovers to summer camps for generations. To honor the lifelong friendships we make at Makeshift, there will be two exclusive patterns. One honors the notorious nickname for members, the “Shitheads”, and the other says “WWMCD?” as a reminder… What Would Makeshift Crafts Do?? Each person gets two skeins of DMC thread from the spinner and a pattern guide with both bracelet options. For both new and seasoned members, this is a great way to connect with other people who love Makeshift and want to build community! First step: friendship bracelets. Next step: matching tattoos???? Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children. Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding! Cancellation Policy: For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
