THE LEATHER The Kudu is a South African Antelope, living wild in the bush. Although a softer leather with little break-in, Kudu is very resilient with a rough texture and a smooth waxy finish. This tannage includes the natural marks and imperfections from life in the wild bush, so no two boots are exactly alike, providing for a truly unique and authentic pair of boots. In terms of color, Flint is a dusty gray with hints of a brown undercolor. These exceptional hides embrace a rich variability. Like bison, rambler and horse rump we've run before, the boots are one of a kind, with fluctuating texture from pair to pair. Our skilled cutter specifically cuts each pair together, so that while the boots may vary within a run, each individual pair is beautifully matched.
