Girolamo Russo Etna Bianco Nerina 2025
The Girolamo Russo estate was founded in 2005 by Giuseppe Russo, in memory of his late father, in Passopisciaro on the north face of Mount Etna in the north-eastern corner of Sicily. The wine is named Nerina after Giuseppe's mother. The vines grown in the Etna Bianco DOC are a blend of 70% Carricante with the remaining 30% a blend of Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Minnella. Maceration and fermentation are controlled by low temperature fermentation in 70% steel and 30% tonneaux with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged for 6 months in 70% steel and 30% tonneaux, on the lees.
