Discover the Art of Indian Block Printing with Our Full-Day Workshop Immerse yourself in the vibrant and creative world of Indian Block Printing at our Oxfordshire studio. This full-day workshop offers ample time to explore, experiment, and enjoy this traditional craft in a fun, relaxing, and inspiring environment. This workshop is suitable for all levels of block printing. It can be beneficial to have attended an introductory workshop prior to a full-day workshop to gain an understanding of the basics, giving you a head start for your full day of printing. Your day begins with a warm welcome and introduction to get you settled and excited for the activities ahead. You’ll start by browsing through hundreds of beautiful designs to choose your favourite block prints, along with a variety of textile colours. Next, we’ll provide a detailed demonstration of block printing techniques, tools, and equipment to ensure you’re ready to begin your creative journey. In the morning, you’ll test your selected designs and colours on practice fabric, building confidence as you try out different printing techniques. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll move on to print a selection of paper and stationery items, such as tissue paper, cards, and tags. After lunch, it’s time to take your skills to the next level by creating your own fabric items. Choose from a variety of materials provided (all included in the workshop price), and bring your ideas to life. Before the day ends, we’ll help you fix and heat-set your printed fabric to make it washable. Items available for printing: - Tea Towel or Tote Bag - Cushion Cover or Scarf -Zip Pouch or Drawstring Bag Items can we swapped, and additional items purchased if required.
