How airless tips work (simple explanation): Airless sprayers pressurise paint (up to around 350 bar) and force it through the tip’s small orifice. That turns the paint into a controlled fan pattern – similar to putting your thumb over the end of a garden hose to create spray. Your sprayer produces: pressure + flow. Your tip defines: fan width + spray volume. How to choose the right WRLP tip size: Fan width (first digit): Fan width is based on spraying at 30 cm from the surface. Example: a “5” = 50° spray angle. Multiply by 5 ? 25 cm fan width. Orifice size (last two digits): Controls how much paint flows through the tip. Example: “17” = 0.017" (approx 0.43 mm). Higher pressure = more flow.
