Most of these new home gift baskets go to a household rather than a person — a family arriving somewhere new, or a client receiving keys. Every one is built around something that stays in the house long after the food is finished. How it works Email us with the budget you have in mind, who the gift is for, and anything worth knowing — how many people, whether there are children, any dietary restrictions. We put the basket together and send you a photograph for approval, if you would like to see it first. It is delivered one to two business days after the order is confirmed. What a gift at each budget looks like From $150 — a keepsake for the kitchen, cheese, artisan crackers, chocolate, cookies and savoury snacks. The keepsake might be an olive wood serving board, a cotton apron, a stone cheese slate or a table linen, depending on what suits the household. Around $250 — a larger keepsake, a broader gourmet selection, wine or a non-alcoholic alternative, and something for the children if there are any. Between and above those figures we work to whatever number you give us. If you would rather not choose, tell us the occasion and the budget and we will propose something. An example: a $250 gift for a realtor's client A realtor came to us with $250 and a brief — a keepsake for the new house, some good food, and something for the children. We built the basket around a set of ceramic serving bowls, added brie and camembert, wild smoked salmon in a wood box, Tuscan crackers, an artichoke dip mix, chocolate, cookies, pasta and a jar of sauce, and a white wine chosen to reflect the family's Greek background. Gifts containing wine are delivered within British Columbia only, to an adult aged 19 or over. For recipients outside BC we substitute a non-alcoholic alternative.
