Mule Ear Denim - Light Wash

‎ A reinterpretation of early 1900s western wear, the Mule Ear Denim is cut in a wide straight leg and developed to hold a consistent silhouette on body. This is the second iteration, revised in fabric, wash, and fit from the first release last year. Constructed from a 13.5oz Japanese selvedge denim milled by Kaihara in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan. Kaihara runs every stage in house: cotton selection, spinning, rope dyeing, weaving, and finishing. The wash is achieved through a process that draws more indigo out of the base fabric. Wear is introduced through light whiskering, honeycombing behind the knees, chevroning through the thighs, and natural thigh and seam fading, each held at a restrained intensity. Fraying is present at the pocket edges, where the denim breaks down first with use. Finished with front 'mule ear' flap pockets, floral-embossed silver YKK hardware, a button fly, buckle-back cinch, grey stitching, and clean internal construction throughout.
