2026 Ohmi Shincha Saeakari

Made from the Saeakari cultivar, which means "Clear Brightness." The name certainly fits. This shincha comes from Ohmi, a famed tea-growing region in the Suzuka Mountains in Shiga Prefecture. This is a very fun tea to drink! It is certainly savory, with little to no bitterness, yet there is a slight cooling effect on the palate that keeps it from feeling too "brothy." Later infusions transition from umami-forward to floral-forward, making this quite dynamic tea.
