Vintage Folk Art Handpainted Carved Wood Our Lady of Guadalupe Mexican Statue Circa 1940s, Midcentury. Made in Mexico. Measures approximately 8.6 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide (at widest points). Statue has a depth of approximately 2 inches Our Lady of Guadalupe, in Roman Catholicism, the Virgin Mary in her appearance before St. Juan Diego in four visions in 1531. Our Lady of Guadalupe holds a special place in the religious life of Mexico and is one of the most popular religious devotions. In good condition with age-appropriate wear. Please see all photos.
