Liberian Girl Hand Chain

This piece started as something I created because I knew our customers had been asking us for it for years. At first, it almost felt like I was simply ticking a box — creating something our community had been waiting for. But as I started thinking about the name, the story, and how we would introduce it, it slowly became one of the pieces I felt most attached to. I named this hand chain Liberian Girl as an ode to my favorite human to ever exist outside of my family: MJ. Inspired by the legendary song Liberian Girl, I started researching Liberia and discovered a beautiful country filled with incredible landscapes, coastlines, and places where people surf and enjoy the sea. Not your typical summer destination — but beautiful nonetheless. And if you know HRH, you know we’ve always loved finding beauty in unexpected places. But the story goes one step further. When I imagined this piece coming to life, I immediately pictured one of my best friends wearing it — someone who happens to be an even bigger MJ fan than I am (if that’s even possible). So this hand chain became more than just jewelry. It became a little love letter from me, dedicated to two of my favorite people ever: MJ & LM. You know who you are.
