Antique Argentinian Stirrups with Estriberas - Stirrup460
These stirrups are made of silver, they are stamped "800" near their suspension loops. There are no other stamps or maker's marks. This design of stirrup is sometimes known as a crown stirrup or estribo de corona. The curved arches have fluted sides and separate fixed suspension loops. Below the treads each has a metal skirt or bell with cast diagonal stripes. The stirrups have leather straps which are encased in silver coloured metal tubes or "estriberas", also partly stamped "800".
