Autumn Open Mic Poetry Evening at The Little Bookshop Thursday 17 September, 7-8:30 pm. £7/ticket Our open mic evenings are a chance to appreciate spoken word, share your own creativity in a welcoming space and browse our diverse poetry section. We are always keen to showcase local talent, so we welcome Leeds-based poet and maker Molly Ovenden. Molly is a contemplative typewriter poet and painter. She writes and performs poems for people at their request, usually in live settings, on-the-spot with her vintage typewriter. A Minnesotan Yorkshire-lover at home both in Duluth and England Molly is trying to change the world, making it better one poem at a time. When she's not writing, she's coaching, reading, laughing, smiling, eating, drinking tea and coffee, painting, daydreaming, training for marathons, doing yoga, or going for circular walks. Booking is essential online or in the bookshop (ticket price also includes a glass of fizz).
