When it comes to rum, Billy searches out the world's finest and elevates them to optimum lavour experience at The GlenAllachie Distillery through blending and marrying in premium quality casks, assured by decades of masterful expertise. They are pushing the boundaries of convention to create a boundless range of exceptional small batch spirits. MacNair's is founded on whisky, with the future of diversity. One home, many experiences, always exquisitely eclectic. Master Blender Billy Walker sourced this pot still Jamaican rum from Clarendon Distillery at multiple ester levels. The spirit underwent a unique maturation journey; fully aged at The GlenAllachie Distillery. After spending time in American and French oak at 86% ABV, the rum was reduced to 69% ABV and re-filled to similar casks. This unusual process allows for wood interaction at two different 'solution characteristics', delivering a diverse spectrum of flavours. Nose: bursting with tropical fruits, vanilla and orchard fruits: with golden syrup, strawberry coulis and butterscotch. Taste: layers of honey, pineapple and plantains, with dried banana chips, grapefruit and cinnamon spice.
