Level 2-3: Make a Twill Shawl – Floor Loom Weaving - coming in 2027
In this cozy group class of 5, you’ll create a handwoven shawl using a twill pattern. Explore colour play, twill techniques, and practical finishing methods while weaving a wearable and functional textile on a floor loom. What You’ll Learn Tips for easier floor loom set up. Basic twill weave structure techniques with floating selvedges. Colour blending with weft yarns. Finishing techniques for wearable textiles. Class Format Weekend/Evening Format: Day One: 6pm–9pm (3 hrs) Day Two: 9am–5pm (8 hrs) Day Three: 9am–5pm (8 hrs) *Private sessions for 2+ students available. Email us to request a custom quote. Prerequisite This is a second-level beginner class. Experience setting up 4-shaft looms and reading weaving patterns is recommended. Third level students may select a twill pattern of their choice.
