Yugoslav People's Army M1948 Brown Leather Mauser Bayonet Frog

Jugoslovenska Narodna Armija M-1948 Brown Leather Mauser Bayonet Frog Copied off the German Mauser Bayonet Frog, these Yugoslavian M48 Mauser Bayonet Frogs were made during Yugoslavia's communist-era and were standard issue to the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) as was the M1948 Mauser rifle, which was also modeled closely after another iconic piece of WW2 German gear: the Karabiner 98K. This design saw use from 1948-2001 throughout all sorts of conflicts, such as the initial Cold War Border Insurgencies, the Lebanese Civil War, and the Yugoslav Wars to name a few, and are great for completing a JNA kit. These bayonet frogs are also an exceptionally cheap WW2 German reenacting filler since they so closely resemble the WW2 German Mauser Bayonet Frog and are much more affordable than their German counterpart. Designed to Fit a Yugoslavian M48 Mauser Bayonet in its Scabbard; may fit a similar sized bayonet in its sheath like the German WW2 Kar98K (S84/98 III) Bayonet. Heavy-Duty Dark Brown Bovine Leather Construction with Brass Hardware Original Cold War-Era Yugoslav People's Army Issue Manufactured in Yugoslavia (Which no longer exists) Good Condition. May have small marks or other such imperfections. Hardware may have patina and verdigris from age. Bends just fine and is completely supple where it should be. Hardware functions as intended.
