Olympus BX43 Microscope for Cyclospora

When viewed under a fluorescence microscope, Cyclospora cayetanensis oocysts naturally autofluoresce, which makes a fluorescence microscope an ideal tool for identification. These refurbished units have been assembled for cyclospora applications, making it easy to detect oocysts with either UV or green light. As configured, these microscopes all come standard with a pair of 10x/22mm FOV eyepieces, transmitted light imaging, dual channel 375nm and 475nm excitation LED, and matching filters for fluorescence imaging. These channels have been specifically selected for cyclospora autofluorescence. You can choose from a standard binocular for viewing, or an integrated trinocular and LumiCam camera for saving images and documentation. The 5 position nosepiece comes with fluorite (FL) grade 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x Oil objectives. Apochromat (APO) grade objectives or alternative magnifications are available. We have optional left handed XY mechanical stages, or a plain fixed stage that can be provided. The abbe condenser has an adjustable iris diaphragm.
