Real Preserved Butterfly and Insect Oddities Glass Domes Crystals Statue Bones Skulls Dried Flowers

For the lovers of old books, unusual antiques, preserved insects and all the peculiar things that somehow make a house feel more like home. This collection of handmade glass dome oddities brings together real preserved butterflies, moths, beetles and other insects alongside dried flowers, crystals, statue/figurine and natural bone elements. Each arrangement is completely different, from delicate pastel florals surrounding a butterfly to deep crimson roses, dark moss and the occasional unexpected little creature tucked between the petals. Now picture one sitting on your bookshelf, nestled between your favorite gothic novels and antique hardcovers. Maybe you have an old wooden writing desk that could use something a little unusual, a vintage cabinet overflowing with curiosities or a cozy reading corner where you’ve carefully collected things that make you happy. Imagine the afternoon sunlight catching the wings of a butterfly or the metallic green of a beetle as you walk past. The kind of detail you might not notice immediately but find yourself stopping to admire again and again. Who says an oddities collection has to be dark and macabre? There’s plenty of room for soft pink flowers, delicate wings and romantic details alongside bones, beetles and darker curiosities. That’s part of the fun of collecting things that don’t necessarily belong in the same category. Each piece is carefully assembled by me beneath a clear glass dome with a cork plug base, using real preserved specimens and dried materials. No two arrangements are identical. Choose your favorite from the lettered options in the photographs. The exact dome pictured is the one you’ll receive. To keep your piece looking its best, display it away from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive humidity. These are delicate displays and should be handled with care.
