The kit contains PeaceMAT™ XR 2mm heavy butyl sound deadening mat to reduce vibration, rattles, panel resonance and road noise, together with Hydroweld™ hydrophobic insulation for additional sound absorption and thermal insulation. PeaceMAT XR is installed first, directly onto the vehicle's metal panels. Hydroweld is then fitted as the secondary insulation layer. This layered approach combines vibration damping with acoustic and thermal insulation for improved interior comfort. PeaceMAT XR is a professional automotive-grade butyl material with a strong self-adhesive backing and embossed aluminium surface. It can be cut to shape and applied to doors, floors, wheel arches, roofs, side panels, boots and other suitable vehicle body panels. Car Insulation UK Hydroweld provides the second insulation layer and features a hydrophobic, water-resistant construction, making it particularly suitable for automotive applications where moisture resistance is important. Layer 1 – PeaceMAT XR: Cut to size, remove the backing paper and apply the 2mm butyl mat directly to the clean metal surface. Apply firm pressure; using an application roller will help achieve good contact. Layer 2 – Hydroweld: Cut the Hydroweld to the required shape and install it over the treated area as the secondary acoustic and thermal insulation layer. This follows the same general layered principle recommended for PeaceMAT XR on your existing product pages: vibration-damping material against the vehicle metal, followed by an insulation layer.
