Credits: Camel Description: In 1981, following the tour for the album *Nude: The Return of Mr. O* (original title: *Nude*), Andy Ward, who had been struggling with alcoholism, left the band. Camel, continuing as a project band led by original member Andrew Latimer, released the album *The Single Factor* (original title: *The Single Factor*) the following year, in 1982. The pop-oriented songs, featuring Andrew Latimer’s vocals prominently, opened up new territory for Camel. Following the album’s release, the band embarked on a 36-show European tour titled *The Single Factor Tour—10th Anniversary*, featuring the lineup that had participated in the album’s production, with the addition of Kit Watkins, who had previously left the band. During this tour, the June 3rd London concert was recorded and broadcast on BBC Radio, and this album is a live recording based on the audio used for that broadcast. The setlist for that day consisted of 11 songs in total, including medleys and an encore, though the opening track, “Sasquatch,” was cut. While incorporating pop elements, the band delivers a dramatic live performance that is uniquely Camel. Furthermore, with the addition of technical keyboard solos, they create a Camel sound that surpasses anything they’ve done before. This live recording reflects the enthusiasm of Andrew Latimer, who would go on to lead Camel, as the band celebrated its 10th anniversary.
