The Dalai Lama’s powerful message of inner peace and his concern for the planet and universal connectedness are inspiring antidotes for a world full of challenges, polarization, and war. Featuring Tenzin Gyatso-the 14th Dalai Lama, Richard Gere, Ani Jinpa, the Princess of Orange, Tsering Jampa, David Bohm, and others. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director, Babeth Mondini-VanLoo. DIRECTOR BIO Babeth Mondini-VanLoo is an artist and filmmaker based in Amsterdam, and was the founder of BOS-TV there, the only Buddhist broadcaster in the West. Her other films feature Meredith Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, Kazuaki Tanahashi, Joseph Beuys, Philip Glass, and Noah Levine. She spent several years in San Francisco, earning her Master of Film and Fine Arts from San Francisco Art Institute. Her book ART = LIFE = ART - From Beuys to Buddhism was published by Samsara Books.
