Dendrobium glomeratum

Dendrobium glomeratum, also known as the Ball Dendrobium, is a small epiphytic orchid native to Southeast Asia and Oceania, spanning from Sulawesi to Maluku and New Guinea. It produces short clusters of 3 to 10 sparkling, vibrant pink-to-purple flowers featuring a contrasting orange or yellow-tinged lip. Each bloom is roughly 1.2 inches (3 cm) across. Growth Habit: Features pendant (hanging) canes that can grow up to 50 cm long. It is semi-deciduous or deciduous, meaning it often drops its dark-spotted leaves on older canes before or during its heavy blooming cycles. Natural Habitat: Found growing on trees in wet, humid tropical forests at elevations of 1,200 meters (nearly 4,000 feet) and higher. Plant available for sale is growing in 90 mm pot.
