About the piece Son of the Beast imagines the newborn form of the demonic creature from Álex de la Iglesia’s 1995 cult film, El Día de la Bestia. The sleeping creature rests inside a handwoven basket, surrounded by natural fiber bedding and a wooden rosary. Its small horns, elongated ears, clawed limbs, hooved feet, and synthetic hair reveal the unsettling nature hidden beneath its peaceful appearance.
