Cerakote® Truss Rod Cover for Gibson® Guitars

Cerakote® is a thin-film ceramic-based coating designed to protect surfaces from wear, corrosion, chemicals and heat while providing an attractive finish. It is especially well known for use on firearms, automotive parts, motorcycle components, tools and industrial equipment. Gibson® first introduced adjustable truss rods in 1921, invented by Ted McHugh, their factory manager. Early truss rod covers were simple, narrow plates. By the mid 1930s , Gibson® standardized the bell shaped cover you recognize today. Through the 1940s and 1950s, nearly every Gibson® guitar carried this small but iconic detail. The design has remained essentially unchanged for decades and has become an industry standard. Individual Norlin® Cerakote® truss rod cover. Does not mounting hardware.
