Mug Building with Wendy: Beginner Friendly Class
Thursdays, November 13th, 2026
1PM-4PM
In this hands-on, project-based class, students will start with a simple slab of clay and transform it into a one-of-a-kind decorative yet functional mug. You’ll explore creative hand-building techniques, sculpting, and unique ways to add texture and personality to your piece. You’ll meet with Wendy to build and embellish your mug. Students have the option of a second class meeting for decorating and glazing, scheduled for December 4th. That second class will have a separate payment of $25. You can have your instructor, Wendy, finish your vessel with a single glaze color choice per vessel if you do not want to opt into the second class date. This is a great one-time class for those curious about clay and new to the craft, and seasoned potters will enjoy it too. All tools and clay will be provided, though students are welcome to bring their own tools or preferred clay. The class clay provided is a light tan stoneware.
