See the OLYS B2B/BS Series User Manual here: User Manual Product FAQs Q1: What does a 24V to 12V DC-DC charger do? It uses a 24V vehicle electrical system to charge a separate 12V auxiliary battery, regulating the output to suit the selected battery profile. Q2: Is it compatible with LiFePO4 batteries? Yes. Select the appropriate LiFePO4 charging profile and use a battery with a suitable Battery Management System (BMS). Check that the battery can accept the charger’s output. Q3: Can I connect solar panels directly? No. The B2B241260 does not have a solar input or built-in MPPT controller. Solar charging requires a separate solar charge controller. Q4: Can it charge from 240V mains power? No. This model uses DC input from a 24V battery system. A separate AC battery charger is required for mains charging. Q5: Does it require an ignition connection? Yes. A suitable D+ or ignition control signal must be connected according to the manufacturer’s manual for DC-DC charging to operate. Q6: Are Bluetooth and the temperature sensor included? Yes. The BT10 Bluetooth dongle and battery temperature sensor are included as standard. The MT-2 display meter is available separately. Q7: Can I monitor charging from my phone? Yes. Connect the included BT10 Bluetooth dongle and use the compatible app to monitor charging while within Bluetooth range. Q8: How long will charging take? Charging time depends on battery capacity, starting charge level, available input power and any equipment operating during charging. Charging current reduces as the battery approaches full charge. Q9: What should I check before installation? Confirm the vehicle voltage, battery charging requirements and alternator capacity. Have a qualified installer select suitable cables, fuses and mounting arrangements, following the manufacturer’s manual.
