Rotonde Jour et Nuit "CPCP"
The Rotonde Jour et Nuit, part of the Cartier Privée Paris Collection (CPCP), is an unusual-looking wristwatch by the Maison. Visually intriguing, the Rotonde day and night display is Cartier’s contemporary rendition of the 1920s Cartier Comet Clocks. Unconventional in the timekeeping display, the watch features a rotating disc depicting a sun with radiating beams by day and a moon gliding across the night sky as evening falls. Both celestial bodies indicate the hours by pointing to the Roman numerals. The retrograde of the bottom half of the timepiece indicates the minutes by a Breguet-styled hand, complimenting the guilloché patterns on the dial that speaks the elegance of a Cartier piece. Offered in excellent condition with its full accessories, this watch delivered in 2007 is a rare gem amongst the prestigious CPCP timepieces that are highly sought after.
