Gyuto Damast 3LND Bog Oak
What makes our 3LND laminate, which we forge for these kitchen knives, so special? We combine five different steels in the cutting layer, including various tungsten-alloyed steel grades, and forge them into a Damascus steel with over 300 layers. Blacksmith and Lilienstahl founder Florian Stockinger has been working for over 10 years on continuously improving the steel combination in order to further increase sharpness and edge retention. In response to various customer requirements, a Damascus steel was combined with a completely stainless flank for the first time in 2026 to achieve the best possible performance and keep maintenance as low as possible. The pith rays of the thousand-year-old bog oak shine through the handle of the Gyutoh. Only the smell reveals the natural and ecologically sound stabilisation with larks and spruce resin against moisture and odours. The transversely satin-finished tin bronze forms the centrepiece between the San Mai 3LN blade and the East Style Oval handle, designed as a genuine ferrule.
