Fleuron Flower-Shaped Bowl

Origin: Japan Material: Pottery Dimension: W15.6cm / D15.3cm / H7.4cm / 580ml “Fleuron” refers to floral decoration in French. Inspired by the Japanese apricot blossom (ume), this flower-shaped bowl features a plump, charming silhouette. The bowl’s standout detail is its beautifully deep, intricate relief, formed by as many as 200 lines across the surface. This distinctive texture is carefully crafted by skilled artisans and designed to look especially beautiful beneath the glaze. The warm brown glaze highlights the reddish tones of the underlying clay, adding depth and a lovely rustic character to the piece.
