1953 New York Bach Stradivarius M 43 Bb Trumpet

This rare Bach trumpet was built in Bach’s Bronx factory in May 1953. The horn is an unusual configuration: A medium bore with a 43 bell and 7 leadpipe. This combination makes the horn remarkably nimble with a classic 43 sound. The horn has a lacquer finish, if it is not the original finish it is a very well done relacquer with minimal buffing. It also has bronze valve balusters and a very rare factory quick change slide stop to the key of A, which is documented in the shop card. It has a Reeves valve alignment as well Valve compression is excellent. This would be a great jazz or brass quintet horn.
