Nov 23th 2026 – Coptic Binding with Stitched Hardcover

In this workshop, you will learn how to make a hardcover notebook with an exposed stitched spine (coptic binding). In contrast to the regular Coptic Binding, in this workshop we will include the covers in the sewing process. Therefore we start, after a brief introduction, by preparing the hardcovers. Afterwards we fold the individual sections and preparing them and the hardcover for sewing by adding the sewing holes. It will feel a bit challenging to sew multiple sections and a cover, but we will go through the process together step by step. Once the book is finished, it will be pressed and glued. With the skills you learn in this workshop, you’ll be able to create your own books at home. – Pictures will follow soon All materials are included in the costs as well as drinks and snacks. Suitable for beginners, no prior skills are required. The workshops will be held in English, but if needed, we can switch to Danish, German, Spanish, or Italian 😉 Cancellation Policy If you are unable to join the workshop you booked, feel free to give your place to somebody else. In case this is not possible, we offer to pick up a „material bag“, containing the materials we used in the workshop and a guide, so you can create the book by yourself. Please note, that any bookbinding tools or glue are not included in the bag.
