Born into a strong artistic lineage, Polly is the daughter of renowned artist Minnie Pwerle and part of an extended family of influential painters who have shaped the contemporary Aboriginal art movement. Growing up on Country, Polly developed a deep understanding of her ancestral land, cultural responsibilities, and Dreaming stories from an early age. Like many Utopia artists, she began painting later in life, drawing upon a lifetime of knowledge passed down through generations of women in her family.
