Giuseppe’s popular Re pattern is currently only available as a workshop. Re is a modular foundation paper pieced pattern in which the sewist decides what size blades (from 3 choices) they would like to use and also the frequency in which the blades appear, meaning you can choose to eliminate some blades entirely. Make the blades the same size, make them all different, leave spaces… This creates countless variations! This special version of the quilt also features different moonphases in each of the blocks to add to the celestial feel of the quilt. Giucy Giuce will share his tips and tricks for best practices when foundation paper piecing and sewing curves. Don’t miss the chance to take this fun workshop! Bio: Giuseppe Ribaudo (aka Giucy Giuce) grew up in Long Island, NY. First generation Sicilian-American onhis father’s side and second on his mother’s, his family lived with his maternal grandparents. Hisgrandmother, a talented and prolific seamstress, remains a tremendous source of inspiration to Giuseppeto this day. She taught him to sew at an early age, but it wasn’t until college, where Giuseppe studiedmusical theater, that he discovered quilting. Giuseppe joined Instagram shortly thereafter and quicklyfound himself making long distance friends in the quilting community via social media. Following college,he bounced around the country working in theater for a few years before moving back New York topursue a career in textiles. Within a few months of being in NYC, Giuseppe was offered a marketingposition for a fabric company and was promoted to multimedia manager less than a year later. In 2018,he turned his focus to fabric design and released his first collectionQuantum. In 2021 he released histenth collection calledNonna, an homage to his grandmother and her home where he learned to sew.New to the FreeSpirit family, Giuseppe continues to design fabric and patterns and teach quilting classesfor shops and guilds across the country. Please return the registration form with your payment to hold your space. Deposits are non-refundable. Workshop Regular Tuition and Lodging: Regular Tuitions and Lodging Fees for each workshop are listed in the workshop description. Full payment for the workshop is due no later than four months prior to the start of the workshop. A 10% charge will be added for late payments. Check payments are preferred for balances. Credit cards are accepted but the fees assessed by the credit card company will be passed along to the student. Five months prior to the workshop additional information about the workshop, supplies needed, and accommodations will be mailed along with an invoice for the balance due. Workshop Refunds: Students will receive a full tuition refund only in the event that Woodland Ridge Retreat cancels a workshop. Workshop Cancellations: When we accept your deposit or payment of workshop fees, we understand that circumstances may arise causing cancellation of your plans to attend that workshop. While we sympathize when such a situation occurs, we must adhere to our business policy. All cancellations must be in writing. For cancellations made 120 days or more prior to the start of a workshop, Woodland Ridge Retreat will retain the nonrefundable deposit. If notice of cancellation is received 119 days or less before the start of a workshop, full tuition is forfeited. Full tuition will also be forfeited for no-shows or withdrawals after a workshop has begun. Please Note: Woodland Ridge Retreat is not responsible for providing make-up classes or issuing refunds, credits, or transfers for sessions missed as a result of illness, emergencies, or other events beyond our control.
