The Fabric Hand-woven by textile artist Julie Rose Clapton on her century-old counterbalance loom, using wool from Shetland and Hebridean sheep sourced from the Isle of Mull and naturally dyed with madder root. The weave structure is based on a historic Scottish coverlet pattern, chosen to preserve the full Scottish lineage of the suit—fiber, weaver, and design. The specific draft comes from a Scottish weaver who later emigrated to Canada The Jacket A cropped, collarless jacket in hand-woven wool, inspired by 1960s tailoring. Designed to sit at the waist with a clean, structured line. Features included hand-forged sterling silver buttons by silversmith Heath Wagoner. The Skirt A mid-calf column skirt in the same hand-woven wool. Cut to fall straight with a lean, elongating silhouette. Finished with a simple waistband and back closure.
