Description Take your inkle weaving to the next level Ready to move beyond plain weave? In this intermediate-to-advanced class, students will learn Baltic pickup, a traditional technique used to create bold geometric patterns on the inkle loom. What you will make: A patterned sampler band using traditional Baltic pickup motifs- perfect for bookmarks, straps, or decorative trim What You’ll Learn How Baltic pickup works (pattern vs background threads) How to read and follow a pickup pattern Techniques for clean, consistent pattern weaving How to begin designing your own motifs Supplies for class use included with the Class: Loom Shuttle and pickup sticks Heddles Basic Weaving Tools as needed Location: The Rogue Skein, 1013 Main Street, Kerrville, TX 78028 Teacher: Rick Hineline of Warped Rabbit Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced Class Kit Cost: $12-15 + tax depending on color choices and will be available day of class Class Kit: consumables kit for the class will be available for purchase on the day of class. We are required by the state to pay sales tax on these items. Items included in the kit Yarn Kits containing pre-selected colors will be available - 2-3 colors of 3/2 Gist Cotton The supplies will be available in store.
