One staple in each corner and others spaced roughly 250mm from each other vertically and horizontally. Using wood screws or nails with large washers is also a good option, making sure to find the studs behind the plaster first. For stone, concrete, and brick walls: Pre-drilling every 250mm vertically and horizontally with a masonry bit and inserting nylon plugs is required prior to fixing the panels by screwing in screws with washers into the nylon plugs.
