Genesis Brushed Brass Straight Edge Aluminium Tile Trim
Anodised aluminium — brushed brass finish. Wall and floor use. For a silver finish see the Premtool Straight Edge Polished Silver or Brushed Silver. The Genesis ESA Straight Edge Aluminium Tile Trim in Brushed Brass is an anodised aluminium profile that brings a warm, metallic gold tone to exposed tile edges. The brushed brass anodised finish is applied through an electrochemical process that creates a hard, wear-resistant surface layer — more durable than paint or plating. Made from AA 6063 T6 aluminium and anodised to DIN 17611. Available in 10mm and 12mm depths. All profiles are 2.5m in length. 2.5m length Sizes: 10mm, 12mm Wall & floor use Anodised to DIN 17611 Warm brushed gold tone Material AA 6063 T6 Aluminium Length 2.5m per length Profile depth (D) 10 / 12mm Fixing tab width 21mm Face height 3mm Wall thickness 0.8mm Finish Brushed Brass anodised DIN 17611 Application Walls & floors Suitable for Wall and floor tile edge finishing Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles Internal installations Matching brushed brass or gold fixtures Not suitable for Permanent outdoor exposure Prolonged contact with alkaline materials — must be removed immediately Highly acidic or chemical cleaning products Damaged finish cannot be touched up — recoating required Genesis ESA vs Premtool — which brand should I choose? Choose Genesis ESA when A decorative coloured finish is needed A certified DIN 17611 anodised finish is required A UK-manufactured product is preferred Choose Premtool when A silver finish is sufficient and budget is a priority A wider range of depths is needed A protective film for installation is important How to fit & cut aluminium tile trim Cutting to length 1 Measure and mark. Always measure twice. The anodised surface is susceptible to scratching — handle carefully. 2 Cut with a fine-tooth mitre saw or metal-cutting blade.Do not use a standard wood saw blade. 3 For external corners, mitre each piece at 45°. 4 Deburr any cut edges with a fine metal file before fitting. Fitting the trim 1 Dry-fit before applying adhesive. Trim depth should be 1.5–2.0mm greater than the tile. 2 Trowel adhesive and press fixing tab firmly in. Mechanical fix if required. 3 Embed tiles flush with the top of the profile.Remove adhesive and grout immediately — alkaline materials corrode aluminium. 4 Fill joint with grout. Wipe face with damp cloth before grout sets. Downloads Technical datasheet
