Royal Blue Plain Viscose Remnant, in various lengths, 145 cm wide. Royal Blue viscose fabric. Viscose is a soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fabric with good drape, created as an alternative to silk. It is a natural-based fabric produced by extracting cellulose fibres from the core of certain trees such as pine, bamboo or eucalyptus, which are then spun into yarn, solubilised and subsequently regenerated. Viscose fabric is highly versatile, as, in addition to silk, it can imitate cotton and wool. It can be blended with other fibres such as linen or polyester. For this reason, it is used in various types of clothing. It can be used in both winter and summer garments. It is not as breathable as other natural fabrics (silk, cotton or linen), but it feels cool to the touch. To maximise the lifespan of viscose fabric – as it is a delicate fabric that can shrink during washing, drying or ironing – we recommend using a delicate cycle, with a low temperature of up to 30°C and a low spin speed. Tumble drying is not recommended and, to prevent excessive creasing, it is best to hang the garment out in the sun.
