About the Bhil tribe: The Bhil are one of India's largest and oldest indigenous tribes, predominantly inhabiting Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Known as "bow men of India," they are known for their history of archery, agriculture, and distinct cultural practices, including vibrant music, dance, and a deep, faith-based connection to nature. In Rajasthan, they had close association with Maharana Pratap during the war of Haldighati. About Rajasthan Bhil paintings: The subjects of the paintings reflect the wall painting traditions, traditions and folklore. It is a much lesser known art style in comparison to the Bhil art of MP. About the artist: Dr. Yashpal Baranda is a Bhil artist from Udaipur region of Rajasthan with 15v+ years of art journey. He has been working on popularising the BHil art style of Rajastan through camps and workshops across the country.
