British Railways 1950s Promotional Poster

A much sought after original British Railways advertising poster from the 1950s - this particular one printed in 1955, featuring a Standard Class 7 locomotive, specifically number 70000 named Britannia. These posters were displayed in the 'Western Region' of British Railways, with idyllic views of steam locomotives in pastoral settings. The poster featuring the steam locomotive is rare, as they were often disposed of and superseded by posters depicting diesel locomotives. Printed in the UK, the condition is very good considering the fact that it was previously displayed. Has some minor marks and historical fold marks, but has been stored in a tube for the past 5 years or so.
