This decorative bed carries the softened grandeur that only age can produce — worn gilding, layered surfaces, and a faded elegance that feels more European apartment than formal antique showroom. The flowing headboard features deeply carved openwork scrolls surrounding an upholstered panel, while the lower footboard echoes the same movement and craftsmanship with a lighter, more adaptable silhouette. The result is dramatic without feeling overly heavy. Likely French or Italian inspired, this bed was designed to make a statement.
