Large Heavy Indigo Print Kantha Quilt

This beautifully weighty vintage kantha quilt was handmade many years ago in Bengal, then over-printed in an indigo pattern in Jaipur, extending its life with a different print on each side. A heavy weight and a large, wide size, this quilt would make a wonderful bedspread or sofa cover for an Aegean, coastal feel with plenty of authentic texture. SIZE: 210cm x 165cm (82” x 65”) This size will just fit over the end of a UK king size bed (US Queen) As a true vintage textile, it shows the charm of its past life. Expect small imperfections, patches, and worn areas where the layers of fabric peek through, these are not flaws, but part of its history and character. This is a one-off design, when it’s gone, it’s gone! Handmade in India during the 20th Century.
