The name Astrid originates from the Old Norse Ásfríðr, meaning “beloved by the gods.” A strong Nordic name associated with warmth, authority, elegance, and presence — qualities that naturally reflect the loudspeaker itself. Astrid is developed as a true 2-way line source loudspeaker built around four 5” drivers, all operating across the same frequency range. The result is a wide and stable soundstage where recordings unfold with openness, coherence, and natural flow. The increased total membrane area allows Astrid to move air with greater authority and ease, creating a presentation with strong physical presence and stability. A dual-chamber cabinet construction, carefully controlled driver integration, and precise time alignment contribute to a presentation where recordings unfold as a connected whole, with natural flow between tones and instruments. When this relationship is correct, the soundstage becomes more natural and precise, extending clearly in front of the listener.
