The hips often hold deep tension from sitting, stress, and lifestyle habits, which can affect posture, movement, and lower back health. You will learn how to safely release, strengthen, and open the hips, while improving flexibility and body awareness. Day 1: Foundations of Hip Opening (4 hours) • Introduction to hip anatomy and movement • Understanding tight hips and mobility restrictions • Importance of alignment and muscular engagement • Foundational hip-opening poses • Breathwork and mindful stretching techniques • Safe warm-ups and preparation drills • Practice (1 hour) Day 2: Deepening the Practice (4 hours) • Progressive hip-opening sequences • Active flexibility and strengthening techniques • Front & middle split preparation and drills • Advanced poses variations and modifications • Injury prevention and awareness • Practice (1 hour) Suitable for beginners to intermediate practitioners. About the Teacher Nirbhay is a highly trained yoga teacher from SVYASA Yoga University, Bengaluru, India, where he earned his Master of Science in Yoga Therapy. He specialises in alignment, breathwork, and classical yoga, with a strong emphasis on building safe and sustainable foundations in practice. He is also a two-time first prize winner at the Himalayan International Yoga Olympiad (2014 & 2015), reflecting both his depth of practice and excellence in yogic discipline.
