Produced in 1985, this 36mm ref. 18038 pairs its 18k yellow gold case with a vivid green Stella lacquer dial that completely alters the watch’s character. The green surface acts as a high-contrast base for slim baton indices and matching gold-toned text. At the bottom of the dial, the period-correct “T SWISS MADE T” signature confirms the original tritium luminous plots. Rolex fitted the watch with the automatic caliber 3055, adding the then-new single-quickset date feature for easier adjustment. Together with the fluted bezel and President bracelet, the watch carries the familiar look of a vintage-era Rolex Day-Date, but with a bolder dial presence than most examples from the period.
