XA-361 AMOS – Finnish Self-Propelled Mortar

The Patria AMV XA-361 AMOS is Finland’s self-propelled mortar variant of the Patria AMV 8×8 armoured vehicle. Built around the Finnish-Swedish AMOS system, it combines the mobility and protection of the Patria AMV with a twin-barrel 120 mm breech-loaded mortar turret. In Finnish service, the AMOS-equipped AMV is known as the XA-361, distinguishing it from the standard XA-360 AMV family. Finland operates 18 XA-361 AMOS vehicles, giving mechanised units a highly mobile indirect-fire platform. The vehicle’s large turret, twin mortar barrels, and 8×8 AMV chassis give it a distinctive modern Finnish profile.
