Egg L Saggar Fired Amanda
Handcrafted in Urbino, Italy, this decorative ceramic egg is created using the Saggar firing technique. Each piece is formed by press moulding and then refined on the wheel to achieve a perfectly smooth surface. Three layers of terra sigillata are applied to enhance its natural shine. The egg is bisque fired first, then Saggar fired in the Raku kiln inside a sealed container filled with materials such as salt, sugar, and leaves. During firing, these elements react with the clay, leaving soft smoky patterns and warm, organic tones on the surface. No glaze is applied — all the colours are born naturally from the fire and materials used in the process. Dimensions (cm): Ø ≈8 x H ≈12
