Inspired by the work of Toshiko Takaezu, this sculptural vessel is slab-built and finished with layers of blue glazes. Multiple firings create a richly textured surface with deep, shifting tones of indigo and midnight blue. A small bud opening at the top can hold a single delicate stem. About Justin Hoffman Hoffman is a Bay Area ceramic artist and painter whose work shifts between sculpture, vessels, and three-dimensional objects and is heavily influenced by Japanese ceramic artists.
