Saturrìa

Saturrìa è un’autoproduzione a grande formato (A3) di 12 pagine interne a colori, venti pagine totali contando anche copertina, seconda, terza e quarta. Il progetto nasce nel 2025 ma viene stampato nel 2026 in occasione del Crack Festival di Roma, dove e è stato venduto per 20 euro a copia. Stampato su carta avoriata martellata Picasso di grammatura 145 (200 per copertina e retro copertina), il fumetto è poi rilegato a mano con rilegatura giapponese: questa è sia una necessità dovuta al grande formato, sia una scelta riguardante il collettivo di cui faccio parte, Filza, che promuove una particolare attenzione per la rilegatura manuale. Il progetto si concentra sul tema del lavoro, in particolare come è vissuto da due generazioni: da una parte Cristina, che ha appena iniziato a lavorare, fa un lavoro che non le piace, per il quale non è portata e nel quale già si sente completamente fuori posto. Dall’altra parte suo padre, che lavora e basta da tutta la vita: nel tempo libero nel campo di famiglia, in settimana in ufficio. Cristina è costretta a tornare a casa durante l’estate per aiutare la sua famiglia nella raccolta dei pomodori, prendendosi una pausa dal lavoro per farne un altro. Proprio come le ha insegnato suo papà. è un’autoproduzione di Camilla Petrini — ENG VERSION — Saturrìa is a large-format (A3) self-published project of 12 color interior pages, twenty pages in total including the front cover, inside front, inside back, and back cover. The project was conceived in 2025 but printed in 2026 for the Crack Festival in Rome, where it was sold for 20 euros a copy. Printed on 145 gsm Picasso hammered ivory paper (200 gsm for the front and back covers), the comic is then hand-bound using Japanese binding: this is both a necessity due to the large format and a choice related to the collective I belong to, Filza, which promotes a particular focus on manual bookbinding. The project focuses on the theme of work, particularly how it is experienced by two generations: on one side Cristina, who has just started working, does a job she doesn’t like, for which she is not suited, and in which she already feels completely out of place. On the other side her father, who has done nothing but work his entire life: in his free time in the family fields, during the week in the office. Cristina is forced to return home during the summer to help her family with the tomato harvest, taking a break from one job to do another.
