Peak Seasons Masterclass
Thursday 7th January 2027 10am - 4pm Level: New Florists/Intermediate With the festive season over, we move on to the next two big peak seasons for florists; Valentines Day and Mother's Day. Learn from an experienced florist about these two vital days and how to ensure you are maximising your sales whilst being original and seasonal with Peak Season Collections that you can promote through your website and social media. Valentines Day: One day in the year that florist's find the hardest to judge. How many roses to order? What colours? What should I charge? Do I really have to do red roses? We unravel the options, tell you the truth and give you options that will make sure you are not left with unwanted stock on 15th February. Mothers Day: With a longer lead in and more options, Mother's Day in the UK is unique to the rest of the world. A variety of design options, we consider all our customers from the very young to designs for those less mobile or elderly. Mother's Day is a celebration in flowers and plants for all new florists to embrace. This course is practical of hands-on floristry where you will make two designs that are both perfect for Mother's Day designs (and can be adapted for Valentine's Day). You will have the opportunity to photograph your own designs and a collection of designs we have pre-made for you! Perfect to get your Peak Seasons Collections started. Whether you are in a retail environment or a home studio the masterclass will encourage you with ideas to promote your business through social media, online and in your local community. Held early in January to ensure you have time to prepare your products, plan images and marketing. DETAILS The course includes all the flowers, foliage, wrapping, ribbons and containers that you need to complete the item(s). You will also be provided with tools to use during the day. We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day and also for your own portfolio and start promoting for Valentines Day and Mothers' Day. You will need to bring a packed lunch with you. We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!) This course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, The Old Grain Store, Ely Road, Chittering, Cambridge CB25 9PH. BOOKING The fee is £275.00. You can book this course online or call us on 01223 655661. Once you have booked your place(s) we will email you further details of the workshop including a location map with how to find the venue.
